Solar energy makes sense for the sunshine state of
Queensland.

It is the perfect power source and is an attractive option for providing Queensland with safe and clean renewable energy . It is the cleanest, greenest and most viable form of renewable energy that is currently available - and yet recent data released shows Queensland has the second worst solar energy take up rate in Australia.

The LNP has committed to make Queensland the renewable energy capital of
Australia by 2015 and solar energy must play a major role in this vision.

To encourage the uptake of solar energy, an LNP Government will pay a gross feed in tariff for all owners of solar energy systems, ensuring everyone who generates solar energy is paid 44 cents per kilowatt produced.

This tariff will be available to every home, school, shopping centre, sporting club and community facility so all Queenslanders can play a part in harnessing the potential
of our sunshine.
